QS ranking system

• The ranking is a weighted indicators divided by specific factors, and they are subjected to change every few years.
• 40% of the weighted factors above has nothing to do with the school program! And one might also argue that some factors are missing, such as how well adapted the school is with modern teaching style or the grading system

Before we go forward, we need to understand what do these rankings mean.

As can be shown here, the ranking is a weighted indicator divided by specific factors and they are subjected to change every few years.

• Moving on to the next section we well give you a program calculator that you can use to get the best schools that fits you as an international Saudi student.

• We have considered many factors to choose the best school for you.
  • i. For instance, factors that depends on you:
    • 1. You being an international student
    • 2. Your scholarship and the requirements it has
    • 3. The future of Saudi and the market requirements
    • 4.Your academic career.
    • 5. Budling your experience during your undergrade. ( connection/community/social  clubs/activities/hobbies..etc) 

• ii. Other major factors
  • 1. International student
  • 2 .Type of area ( big city or small city )
  • 3. the ranking in other majors (e.g. if you are applying to engineering look for the basic of your major:
    • Math
    • Science
  • 4. Research output
  • 5. Overall ranking as well

Ranking in other majors	25%
Research output	10%
Overall ranking	10%

Guidance

• International student weighed: 20%
• Location: 5%
• Hobbies, interests, and recreational: 5%
• the ranking in other majors: this is tricky but final % is 25% Second Major and minor: 25%
• Research output: 10%  
• Overall ranking as well: 10%
• Finally sum it all and multiply by 80% and multiply the major ranking by 20%
